December 10th International Human Rights Day

The Karić Brothers Foundation has been working on the promotion of human rights and freedoms, for four decades, giving and highlighting examples of the possibility that through openness, good intentions and respect for the principles of the rights and freedoms of all people, the general progress of every society can be ensured.

Human Rights Day is celebrated on December 10th every year, the day on which the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in 1948. The declaration calls on all nations to recognize the inherent dignity and… equal and inalienable rights of all members of the human family as the foundation of freedom, justice and peace in the world.

That is why this Day is a right opportunity for a new reminder of the importance of human rights, which must be realized through public policies and laws that are adopted in cooperation with all key actors, and in the interest of citizens. It is important to raise the level of awareness that we are all connected, and that society is only as strong as its most vulnerable members, and that solidarity is crucial, especially in times of crisis.
