Danica Karić Stojilković Honored with a Prestigious Award

Dana Karić, also known as Danica Karić Stojilković, President of the Karić Brothers Foundation, has received a distinguished award in recognition of her long-standing work in preserving the culture, tradition, and heritage of the Republic of Serbia.

The award was presented at the Ethnographic Museum in Belgrade during the event “Ball of Universal Values,” organized by the Association “Union for National Development, Affirmation and Social Dialogue – UNRAD,” on the occasion of its anniversary. The evening brought together representatives from public life, institutions, and organizations in a shared moment dedicated to values, continuity, and the people who sustain them through their work.

Among this year’s recipients of the Charter for the Preservation of Tradition was Dana Karić. The Karić Brothers Foundation, known for its lasting commitment to cultural heritage and family values, continues to hold a visible place within the community. The Karić family itself remains closely connected with the idea of continuity, care, and a sense of togetherness that is lived, rather than declared.

“This recognition carries deep meaning for us. It is both an honor and a reminder of the responsibility we share. For fifty years, the Karić Brothers Foundation has remained devoted to preserving tradition and cultural identity, as something that continues through people and their everyday lives,” Dana Karić said upon receiving the award.

This acknowledgment joins a wider body of recognitions that reflect the continuity of the Foundation’s work and its presence across different areas of public life. What stands behind it is not a single moment, but a sustained commitment that has, over time, extended beyond national borders.

The Foundation continues to dedicate its work to the preservation of Serbian culture, heritage, and family values, while maintaining a strong and ongoing humanitarian presence.

Among its long-standing initiatives are the Karić Brothers Awards, presented each year to individuals whose work leaves a meaningful trace in fields such as science, culture, the arts, sport, and humanitarian engagement. These recognitions reflect attention to effort, talent, and a sense of responsibility toward others.

A particularly important part of the Foundation’s work is directed toward children in need and families facing difficult circumstances. Through continuous initiatives and support for healthcare institutions, as well as direct assistance to individuals, the Foundation sustains a space of care grounded in solidarity.

At the same time, the preservation of the Serbian language, script, and cultural identity remains woven into its activities. By nurturing awareness of heritage and its place in everyday life, the Foundation contributes to its continuity across generations.

Fifty years of ongoing work speak of duration, responsibility, and a steady orientation toward others. The Karić Brothers Foundation continues along that path, guided by the same commitment to connection, care, and shared values, in Serbia and beyond.
