Dana Karić at the 11th International Action Art Fair in Piraeus

From November 1 to 5, 2025, artist and philanthropist Dana Karić took part in the 11th International Action Art Fair in Piraeus, Greece. Supported by UNESCO and the UNESCO Club of Piraeus and Islands, the event brought together artists, curators, and audiences from different parts of the world under the theme “Dialogue Among Cultures.”

During the fair, Dana Karić Stojilković presented her project Dance on Canvas, centered on the translation of movement into visual form. In collaboration with ballerina Rajna Remović, the work followed the rhythm and energy of different dance expressions, shaping them into abstract forms and color.

Belly Dance

Through this approach, visitors were invited to experience dance in a different way, to follow it through image as much as through movement. The work moved between sound, gesture, and visual composition, creating a space in which these elements remained closely connected. The pieces Ballet and Belly Dance drew particular attention and remained among the most noted works presented during the fair.

Her participation in the Action Art Fair in Piraeus marks a moment of continuity within her artistic path. Through this project, Dana Karić Stojilković once again brought her work into relation with ideas of connection, closeness, and shared experience, values that continue to shape both her artistic and personal engagement.

The Karić Brothers Foundation and Its Contribution to Art

Alongside her artistic work, Dana Karić Stojilković has long been engaged as President of the Karić Brothers Foundation, an organization devoted to education, culture, and humanitarian initiatives. Over time, the Foundation has developed a steady presence through projects that connect communities in Serbia and abroad.

Through her work within the Foundation, she approaches art as a space of connection. The initiatives she supports bring together education and artistic expression, while creating opportunities for young artists to present their work and enter into dialogue with a wider audience. The Foundation also takes part in organizing cultural and educational programs that encourage participation and exchange.

Dance on Canvas, along with her participation in the Piraeus fair, reflects this ongoing engagement. It is one of many projects through which art becomes a way of opening conversation and bringing different experiences into relation.

In her work, artistic practice and humanitarian engagement remain closely connected. Through both, Dana Karić Stojilković continues to move within a field shaped by attention to others, mutual understanding, and shared experience.

The event in Piraeus offered a space to present this work beyond a local context, while also continuing the Foundation’s orientation toward connection through culture, and toward building understanding among people through art.
