Karić Brothers Award: 28th Award Ceremony at the National Theater in Belgrade

“BRAĆA KARIĆ” AWARD – A SPLENDID CELEBRATION OF EXCELLENCE

In the ceremonial setting of the National Theatre in Belgrade, on September 20, 2025, the 28th edition of the prestigious “Braća Karić” Award was held, organized by the “Braća Karić” Foundation.

 

The evening dedicated to the greatness of ideas, achievements, and exceptional individuals once again highlighted the core values of the award – knowledge, humanity, tradition, and social responsibility.

The event was attended by numerous guests from Serbia’s cultural, public, and political life, as well as representatives of the diplomatic corps, further confirming the international significance and reputation of this award.

The awards were traditionally presented by the members of the Karić family – Mr. Dragomir Karić, Mr. Janićije Karić, and Miss Tara Karić, continuing the Foundation’s mission of recognizing and rewarding individuals whose work changes the world for the better.

RECIPIENTS OF THE “BRAĆA KARIĆ” AWARD FOR 2025

Dejan Savićević, Predrag Mijatović, and Anđela Branković – for their exceptional contribution to sport in Serbia and worldwide. Their careers symbolize dignity, national pride, and international recognition of Serbian sports.

Dr. Radmila Lukian – for outstanding achievements in aesthetic medicine. A leader and innovator, synonymous with elegance and professionalism.

 

Jelena bin Drai – for entrepreneurship and achievements in AI in healthcare. A successful businesswoman and humanitarian dedicated to community health.

 

Prof. Dr. Radenka Marić – for scientific and research work and technological innovations “Nikola Tesla” in education. President of the University of Connecticut, a global role model for energy efficiency.

 

Dr. Marko Aleksić – for research in orthopedics and spinal surgery. An exceptional doctor who combines science and humanity.

 

Nebojša Kundačina – for outstanding contribution to culture and the arts. The voice and face of Serbian theatre, film, and television.

 

Charlie Kirk (posthumously) – for his courage in defending truth, family values, and the culture of dialogue. This award introduces the practice of posthumous awards as a tribute to values that transcend an individual’s life.

Еlon Musk – for scientific and research work and technological innovations “Nikola Tesla.” A visionary who changed the world through space exploration and electric vehicles..

United Nations – on the occasion of its 80th anniversary, for its contribution to peace, dialogue, and cooperation among nations.

His Majesty King Mswati III (Eswatini) – for strengthening peace, cooperation, and friendship among the nations of the world. A leader who preserves tradition while guiding his nation toward development.

Melania Trump – for her outstanding contribution to humanitarian work. Her voice of empathy and care for children has left a strong mark worldwide.

Donald Trump – for his contribution to peace, democracy, and international cooperation. His policy of dialogue and mediation has opened new chapters in global diplomacy.

 

Together, Melania and Donald Trump represent a blend of humanity and determination, with a vision of a more just world in which both individuals and nations are uplifted through compassion, dialogue, and action.

 

CEREMONIAL PROGRAM

The ceremony was opened by the Academic Choir “Collegium Musicum,” and a special moment of the evening was brought by the exceptional Danica Crnogorčević, who performed the song “Veseli se, srpski rode”.

MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION

The “Braća Karić” Award is not only a recognition of excellence but also a vow to preserve cultural heritage, tradition, and spiritual values that shape our society.

 

For half a century, the Karić family and the Foundation have tirelessly worked on this mission as the first private foundation established in Yugoslavia. Their work represents a beacon of commitment to the highest ideals: culture, knowledge, solidarity, and permanent spiritual progress.
