Heroes of inspiration: The Karić Brothers Foundation with the Paralympians at the European House

The Karić Brothers Foundation team led by director Ljubica Vukotić, visited the European House in Belgrade on the occasion of the Olympic and Paralympic Committee Day. The event that brought together important figures from the world of sports, culture and public life, was organized in honor of top athletes who are representing Serbia with their successes, especially the Paralympians who inspired many with their perseverance and accomplishments.

The European House, as a symbol of cultural exchange and cooperation between Serbia and the European Union, provided the perfect setting for the event. The space intended for the promotion of common values and open dialogue this time was filled with stories about sports feats and incredible achievements of our Paralympians. With their perseverance, they proved that obstacles exist only in one’s head, and that any achievement is possible with effort and commitment.

During the event, members of the Karić Brothers Foundation presented symbolic gifts to our Paralympians, who in return signed their official T-shirts from the Paralympics in Paris. These shirts are a symbol of their success and hearty performance for Serbia, and those signatures will remain as a valuable memory of the contribution and success of our Paralympians.

Discussions with Paralympics about their experiences during the competition, but also in everyday life, attracted special attention. Each of them presented a personal story of perseverance, the challenges they overcame, as well as an unwavering faith in success. Those stories reminded us of the importance of sport as a means of social inclusion, of promoting equality and breaking down prejudice.

An interesting fact is that Serbia, thanks to its Paralympians, has become one of the most successful countries in the region in the number of medals won at Paralympic competitions. From 2000 to the present day, Serbian Paralympians have won over 20 medals at various Paralympics, thus representing their country to the world in the best way. Their success not only motivates new generations of athletes, but also contributes to the wider society by raising awareness of the importance of inclusion and support for all people with disabilities.

The Karić Brothers Foundation, well-known for its humanitarian activities and support for culture and sports, has once again shown its commitment to the promotion of positive social values. Recently, the Karić Brothers Awards were presented for the 27th time, and our Paralympians were once again among the winners. This visit is another step in the mission of the Karić Brothers Foundation to support athletes who, with their successes and personal stories, set an example that nothing is impossible. The meeting with the Paralympians left a strong and deep impression on everyone present, showing how important support for such initiatives is. It was also an opportunity to hear firsthand about the experiences, problems and challenges that Paralympians face, but also about their victories that count not only medals, but also every step taken on the way to success. The participants of the event at the European House expressed great gratitude to the Paralympians, stressing the importance of their contribution not only in sports but also in the wider community.
