Dr. Zahi Hawass is the most famous Egyptologist in the world, his career as an archaeologist was marked by epoch-making discoveries in the Valley of the Kings in Egypt. Mysteries of the past have been coming to the surface of our understanding of Egypt for decades thanks to the research of Dr. Hawass. Therefore, it is not surprising that he was the inspiration for the character of Indiana Jones, Spielberg’s famous adventurer. Unlike his film counterpart, everything that determines the work of Dr. Hawass is preceded by enormous knowledge, patience and dedication. In his search for the truth, he filled the contents of more than 40 popular and scientific books and 150 works on ancient Egypt. In April 2017, Dr. Hawass was appointed Ambassador for Peace and Cultural Heritage at the United Nations. As a recognizable face of the world’s leading scientific programs of National Geographic, History Channel, Discovery Channel, BBC…, he received an Emmy award in 2006 for a documentary film about ancient Egypt. Dr. Zahi Hawass has earned the reputation of the “King of the Pyramids” through lectures around the world, numerous books and documentary programs dedicated to the ancient Egyptian civilization.
