15th Karic Brothers Jubilee Award Ceremony

Celebrating its30 years of humanitarian work, the Karić Foundation organizes the 15th awarding of prestigious Karić Brothers awards.The ceremony will be held on Monday, October 8, 2012 at 19:30 on the stage of the National Theatre in Belgrade. A direct broadcast is going to be on TV Happy.
Thewinners  of the awards are:

• In the area of ​​creativity inart and culture – Marina Abramovich, performance artist, honorary professor at many world universities and the first honorary professor at the Alfa University Academy of Musical Arts

• In the field of scientific and research work-Dr Vesna Garović Kocić, the second woman professor in the history of the Mayo Clinic in New York and Teodor von Burg, our most successful young mathematician of all times

• In the field of journalism, reporting and publishing – Walt Bogdanich, winner of three Pulitzer Prizes, professor at Columbia University and editor of The New York Times

• In the area of economy and commerce – Vera and Dušan Vasiljević, prominent businessmen who have achieved extraordinary success in Namibia

• In the field of humanitarian activities, strengthening of peace, cooperation and friendship among nations – the sisterhood of the Patriarchate of Peć, headed by Abbess Fevronija

Special prize on the occasion of 15 years since the Karić Brothers Awardexists, for extraordinary contribution to Serbian sports and to the reputation of Serbia in the world – Serbian Olympic athletes Milica Mandić, Ivana Maksimović, Andrija Zlatić, the Serbian water polo team and the Paralympic athletes of Serbia: Tanja Dragić, Borislav Perić-Ranković, Željko Dimitrijević, Draženko Mitrović and Zlatko Kesler
